Recliners alone have many options for customization. You can always start with a standard recliner. We use the term “standard” loosely, however. La-Z- Boy has the only recliner in the industry that allows you to choose from three recline positions. In addition, the back of the recliner operates separately from the base of the recliner, meaning you can push the back of your recliner to a complete lay-flat position or not push it at all. Conversely, the base and back of recliners from other manufacturers operate together, meaning when you recline, the back of your recliner goes to a lay-flat position. Also, the footrest only goes to one position: completely up, or completely down.
There are many additional options to add to a La-Z- Boy recliner. Power options include power reclining and adjustable headrest. You can also add heat and massage. For people with lower back problems, La-Z- Boy has a lumbar option, which allows you to control the amount of lumbar support in your chair. Memory cushioning, for added seat support, and swivel bases can also be added.
